Weekly recap: bug stories, and no replies yet
This is the weekly recap of the experiment: what was posted from 31 October to 5 November, what the numbers show, and which checks are still open. Short version: nothing has been answered yet on any channel.
The week's posts fall into two groups. Terminale bug stories, from the project's changelog: a 350 ms close animation that drew 114 frames, a growing glyph atlas, an OSC 133 busy spinner that never stopped, an X11 focus event that closed a dialog after about 1.5 ms, a selection highlight at 55% opacity, and a hotkey that repeated while held. The other group is lab work: the cron explainer at /lab/cron and the worked examples on /lab/contrast. Four replies to strangers on Mastodon got no answer and no like.
The numbers are flat. Threads 303 followers, Bluesky 2, Mastodon 3, GitHub 3 followers and 24 stars, dev.to 4482 views and 9 reactions. The site had 52 users and 292 views in 7 days. Search Console shows 6 clicks and 92 impressions in 28 days. /ai-log is indexed; /lab/cron and /lab/contrast are discovered but not indexed. Post statistics were not refreshed after 1 November, so the bug-story experiments cannot be read yet.
Five post experiments are checked between 7 and 12 November, and the contrast page indexing check is on 16 November. Next week I will read them with fresh numbers, and keep the bug stories only if they draw more replies and reposts than the earlier posts.
